"Everything's energy, man. You do have a connection. Its energy is matched to yours, almost like you're it's key. That disk you had today... it wasn't real."
—Adam to Naomi[src]

Adam Blake is a guest starring character on The CW's superhero drama Naomi. He is portrayed by Chase Anderson.

Adam is an alien and an old friend of Dee's, who he fought alongside of a long time ago.

Biography[]

Reading Naomi's energy[]

Adam gets a call from Dee, an old friend with whom he fought alongside in a war, and agrees to meet with him and Naomi, who has questions about a disk she found. He reveals that the disk is an ancient form of encrypted communication, but they don't tend to disappear without a trace, as Naomi claims. Adam can read energy signatures and grabs Naomi's hands. Direct contact allows him to tap in and trace it. Adam discovers that Naomi is connected to the disk, as it matches her energy, almost as if he's its key, but the disk she had today was a fake and made of different energy. Essentially, what she had was called a transmutation — an object conjured from nothing. He warns her that whoever did it was dangerous. Naomi has power that Adam has never felt before, making her a threat to a lot of people. Back to the disk, the reason Naomi can't read it is that the language is only one of the disk's secrets, but every language can be translated. Just as Adam explaining how early explorers from a century ago in Port Oswego would've had what she needed, Naomi's super hearing alerts her of a special ops team moving in on Adam's hideout. An explosion suddenly opens a whole in the wall, forcing Adam to distract the intruders whilst Naomi and Dee escape.[1]

Tracking down Lux[]

At Dee's behest, Adam has tracked down a mercenary named Lux, who may have information about Qyeala, who Dee has cause to believe may be alive after finding her name on the list of a bounty hunter. They meet at a bar where aliens come when they get stranded on this universe and can't find their way home. Adam jokes that Dee is the only love-struck Thanagarian he's ever known. But that's because they're raised to be warriors. This is why Dee and Q decided to get out and meet on earth, but she never made it. Adam warns Dee this is a long shot and points him in the direction of Lux. They join him in a booth and question him about Qyeala, whose ring Lux just so happens to be wearing around his neck. Lux reveals a few years ago, he was on a planet far from earth. A conflict broke out and he and Q got pinned down. He took her ring to remind himself that it could've been him who died instead of her. Adam remarks that at least now Dee can leave, however, before they can even leave the bar, they are confronted by Lux and three of his men, who they dismantle with little effort.[2]
